Our very name connects two places: Vi for Wiltingen on the Saar, Ni for Nittel on the Upper Moselle. In the tasting package, both are presented side by side – Elbling from limestone, Riesling from slate. This way you can taste just how much the soil shapes a wine.
The tasting begins with the fresh, uncomplicated Elbling, continues through our tonneau-aged Edition V wines and the Rosenberg Auslese, and culminates in the lusciously sweet Selection V from the Ayler Kupp vineyard. A small wine tasting for home – for comparing, sharing, or giving as a gift.
Included in the package (1 bottle each):
- Nitteler Elbling dry (0.75 l) – fresh and lively, fine citrus aromas, subtle minerality
- Nitteler Elbling semi-dry (0.75 l) – citrus notes, subtle residual sweetness, long honey note
- Nitteler Elbling Edition V off-dry (0.75 l) – spontaneously fermented in tonneau, multifaceted, hint of tonka bean in the finish
- Rosenberg Riesling Edition V off-dry (0.75 l) – off-dry on the label, almost dry in the glass: delicate citrus aromas and vanilla, spontaneously fermented in tonneau
- Rosenberg Riesling Auslese, delicately fruity (0.75 l) – aged in stainless steel, acidity and residual sugar in balance
- Ayler Kupp Riesling Selection V lusciously sweet (0.5 l) – exotic fruits, Saar minerality, delicate vanilla
Our tip: Try from dry to sweet – and place the two semi-dry Edition V wines right next to each other: same aging in tonneau, two soils, two grape varieties.
