Villae Vinifera is a young winery located on the Saar and Upper Moselle rivers, founded in the year 2025 Out of passion for wine, origin and genuine craftsmanship.
About Villae ViNifera
Our goal is to create wines that are irreplaceable. Wines that showcase their landscape, reflect their soils, and are crafted with time, care, and conviction. We work in Nittel on the Upper Moselle and in Wiltingen on the Saar – two places that could hardly be more different and which is precisely why they shape the character of our wines.
In Nittel, the focus is on Muschelkalk limestone, Elbling, Burgundy varieties, and Chardonnay. In Wiltingen, it's Riesling, characterized by the Saar terroir, slate, coolness, and vibrancy. What unites us is the commitment to authentically expressing this origin in the glass.
Villae Vinifera combines Latin origins with our regional identity. Villae stands for country houses, farmsteads or estates. Vinifera It means wine-bearing or wine-bringing. Together, the name roughly translates to: „"wine-producing estates"“ – and at the same time for our two places Wiltingen and Nittel.

We believe in wine that is given time. In vineyards that are treated with respect. And in decisions that are focused on quality, not quantity.
Therefore, we focus on meticulous work in the vineyard, hand-harvesting, and a winemaking process that doesn't mask the character of the grape varieties but rather enhances them. Our wines should be clear, honest, and distinctive – reflecting their origin, structure, and personality.

Kevin oversees our wines in the cellar – from the must to the finished bottle. With calm, precision, and a keen sense of quality, he ensures that each batch can develop its own unique character.
Marvin Beck
Co-Founder –
Upper Moselle external operation
Marvin is responsible for the work in our vineyards in Nittel. His focus is on healthy grapes, careful vine work, and the special character of the Upper Moselle region.
Stephan Fitze
Co-Founder –
Sales & Field Operations Wiltingen
Stephan manages the vineyards in Wiltingen and brings our wines closer to customers, partners, and wine enthusiasts. He combines Saar terroir with personal interaction.
Mikael Nummela
Co-Founder –
Online sales, website & IT
Mikael is responsible for our digital presence and online sales. Through our website and social media, he makes our work visible and simultaneously provides support where our wines are produced: in the vineyard.
